What an awesome night at Howlin’ For Hubert benefiting The Jazz Foundation of America! Jeffrey Wright did an amazing job as the host and all the performances were great. Check out 303 friend Kenny Wayne Shepherd rocking it with some of his friends. I was so happy to be one of the lucky few to attend.

Staying Alive
A show of portraits celebrating the lives of some of the greatest artists of all time, many of whom resided here at the Chelsea Hotel, Jimi Hendrix and Edie Sedgwick to name a few.
About the Artist
Born in the Ukraine, Arthur Arbit moved to Brooklyn NY in 1979. He studied drawing at the Art Students League under Gustav Rehberger for five years, exploring many different approaches to making art. He has developed a distinct graphic style as a rock poster designer, clothing designer for rock bands, and he organizes and curates Williamsburg Fashion Weekend – a bi-annual event showcasing emerging designers.

When Brig Van Osten heard we wanted to surprise April Barton with a hot off the presses copy of her November cover story, she asked if she could join us. “Better yet,” we said….”YOU should bring it to her!” (Brig and April became great buddies on season 4 of “Shear Genius” and haven’t seen each other for months.) Join Brig as she not only hand delivers the issue to April, but takes cover model Bobby (the Surfer Rock guy) along as an added surprise.
